FlexFit

FlexFit is a complete Statistical Analysis module developed by EYF for FlexSim, designed to support data-driven statistical workflows across different industries and applications. It brings together data preparation, distribution fitting, validation, and comparison in a single integrated workflow.

The module processes one or more data files, treating each numeric column as an independent dataset. Before fitting, FlexFit automatically cleans the sample by identifying and removing null, non-numeric, zero, and negative values, providing visibility into the quality of the original data and the final sample used for statistical processing.

For each valid dataset, FlexFit evaluates multiple statistical distributions and generates a ranked list based on goodness of fit. Users can inspect distribution parameters, compare fitted curves, review descriptive statistics, and copy the selected distribution in a format ready for use in FlexSim.

How Refit works

FlexFit provides an additional validation step by selecting the three highest-ranked distributions, generating synthetic samples from their fitted parameters, and fitting them again to determine whether the new result improves the original fit.
