OptQuest
OptQuest is an advanced optimization engine integrated directly with FlexSim, designed to identify the best configurations for a simulation model. Once the model is prepared for optimization, OptQuest runs simulations to explore the relationships between different parameters, intelligently searching the design space to identify configurations that deliver better results according to defined objectives.
Using advanced evolutionary algorithms, OptQuest progressively generates and evaluates new configurations based on previous results. It also supports multi-objective optimization, helping evaluate competing goals, such as maximizing performance while minimizing costs, and identifying the Pareto front so users can understand trade-offs and select the solution that best fits their priorities. Its integration with FlexSim’s Experimenter also enables multiple simulations to run simultaneously, reducing the time required to explore potential solutions.
